Swollen with nuts and honey

I found this recipe on They are exceptional !! Roasted walnuts and honey in a fragile cookie on the inside and crispy on the outside.

  • 250 g flour
  • a little baking powder (a knife tip)
  • 1 egg (only the yolk)
  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g of honey
  • 100 g chopped walnuts not very small
  • vanilla powdered sugar (for decoration)
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (to bind the composition)

Servings: 8

Preparation time: less than 90 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Puffed with nuts and honey:

Mix the flour with the baking powder. Add the yolk, butter, sugar and milk. Mix and knead a little until you get a compact dough that we wrap in cling film and put it in the fridge for an hour.

Divide the dough into two equal parts and make two rolls with a diameter of about 4 cm.

Cut slices 1 cm wide and place them in a tray lined with baking paper, leaving little space between them because they increase in diameter.

We mix the chopped walnut with honey.

Make a hole in the middle of each penny (with your finger or the tip of a teaspoon) and fill with the mixture of chopped walnuts and honey.

Bake them at about 170 degrees (the oven must be preheated) for 15-20 minutes until they brown very, very little.

Let them cool and powder them with sugar.
